Shandrani is also synonymous of original activities, a certified Sailing School, an IKO-certified Kitesurf school and a Diving Centre affiliated to PADI-National Geographic.

Restaurant and Bars
In its different restaurants, Shandrani reveals the delicacies of its savoury cuisine. The gastronomies of the world: French, Chinese, Indian and Creole are coexisting in harmony on the menus proposed in the 4 restaurants, each offering a nice and convivial atmosphere.
Le Grand-Port Restaurant
Diversity is the word at the Grand-Port, main restaurant of the hotel, which seats 320 and opens for breakfasts and dinners. Its cuisine draws its inspiration from the ethnicity of Mauritius. Try the Indian saveurs, with an assortment of oriental spices, indulge on the tasty condiments used in the Creole cuisine (lime and green mango pickles), sample the beautiful blend of the gastronomies of the world (fresh macaronis with tomatoes and cream sauce or Chinese-style whole fish). This restaurant opens onto the sea and pool and proposes different atmospheres, thanks to separate terraces.
Le Sirius
Restaurant with an international cuisine that seats 150 around the gorgeous pool facing the lagoon of Blue Bay. Le Sirius opens for every meal. There, you will enjoy a light menu in a tropical and marine atmosphere. You can try their wonderful swordfish vindaloo, cooked with turmeric, mustard seeds, garlic and chillies.
Porto Vecchio Restaurant
The Porto Vecchio, which seats 100, proposes an Italian and Mediterranean cuisine in a light atmosphere for lunch and dinner. Delicious Italian pickled vegetables and Mediterranean condiments, disposed in various jars and recipients bring an original touch in the rustic décor. Tasty souvenir of a fresh tuna with a tangy citrus salad and peppered prawns.
Bar
Blue Bay Bar
Main bar of the hotel, the Blue Bay Bar becomes the hub of the entertainment by night.
Le Sirius Bar
The bar, adjacent to the restaurant bearing the same name, faces the lagoon of Blue Bay.
Land Sports
Shandrani proposes a wide range of sporting activities including soccer, volley-ball, cycling, bocci ball, aerobic sessions, tennis (6 floodlit courts) and a 9-hole golf course.
Water Sports

Sport and Nature

Sailing Club
Registered as a member of the Mauritius Yachting Association (MYA), the Shandrani Sailing Club has become increasingly popular with hotel guests. This accreditation allows the club to deliver certificates recognised throughout the whole world. The courses cater for both children and adults - children will learn dinghy sailing while adults will train on lasers, catamarans and windsurfs.
Those who want to undertake the different stages of the training will obtain a certificate recognised by the sailing schools of the world. The unique location of Shandrani allows the hotel to deliver courses to the amateurs in a safe and secured stretch of smooth water.
Shandrani Kitesurf School
Shandrani is already popular for its nature-oriented holidays with its ecological programme “Beachcomber Sport & Nature” in collaboration with the Mauritius Wildlife Foundation and its certified Sailing School. Now, in line with its forward thinking, Shandrani has launched an official Kitesurf School.
Golf
Shandrani features a 767-metre golf course, which runs along the banks of the lagoon, clad into a beautiful 50-acre tropical garden. This 9-hole, Par 29 “Pitch and Putt” (Mashie course) is free of charge and allows you to play in gorgeous scenery. With a “tee-off” located one hundred metres away from the Reception and the beach, this course is both stimulating and fun. The difficulty resides in its small size, which privileges calculated and accurate moves.
Spa
La Source
Shandrani’s Spa proposes 11 gorgeous and brand new massage rooms, spread out on two separate wings, dedicated to traditional and specialised treatments.
The first wing features 2 saunas, 2 hammams, 4 relaxing rooms, 6 massage rooms with private garden including 2 with gazebo. The second wing focuses on specialised treatments with 1 Indian room, 1 balneotherapy room, 1 room with affusion shower, 1 shiatsu room and 1 traditional massage room. A spacious wooden deck provides a relaxing area with 6 loungers.
Diving Centre
Shandrani’s new Diving Centre focuses on environmental awareness, personalised service and quality.
Three dives at sea are organised per day and Shandrani’s superb Marine Park is a real plus. Divers may also go trough different learning levels from initiation to the Dive Master.
A room is specifically destined to pedagogic briefings and an outdoor area has been created for the divers to socialise.

Deluxe Room
The Deluxe rooms redefine the “contemporary chic” with simplicity and character. The room is spacious with a lounge area, a vast bathroom with bath and shower, a walk-in wardrobe and separate toilets. The furniture, fabrics and texture combine tawny, chocolate and mahogany as well as flowery prints and startling pictures, which capture the essence of the Mauritius.
Superior Room
The Superior rooms are more intimate and modern. The bathroom is sophisticated with the latest design in fixtures, robinetterie and amenities. The light colours and the bay window opening onto the terrace with pergola bring out the room’s luminosity. A gorgeous L-shaped couch is also at hand.
Family Apartments
Located on the first or second floor for families with younger children. Features include one king size en-suite bedroom with lounge area, television and dressing room; one bedroom with bunk beds with television (plus optional stowaway bed) and en-suite shower room; balcony overlooking the lagoon.
Senior Suites
Located on the ground or first floor with direct access to the beach consist of a beautiful bedroom with spacious bathroom and dressing room, lobby with a sitting area, terrace or balcony with views over Blue Bay.
Presidential Suites
for the ultimate luxury at Shandrani occupy a beautiful location overlooking the Ocean. Ideally nestled alongside the ecologically protected area known as Blue Bay to enjoy the beautiful marine life of the protected Lagoon (great for snorkelling), the Shandrani has the benefit of three distinctively different beaches.

Price & Payment
Unless otherwise stated, at the time of booking only a deposit is due. The remanining balance is payable on check-in and charged by the hotel direct. hotel-savings.com accepts Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
For security purposes, should your reservation incur a charge in excess of USD 400.00, you must submit a signed credit card authorization form. This will be supplied upon confirmation of the reservation. If you fail to fax across this documentation within 48 hours, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Please note that as per our cancellation policy, there may be a fee for this.
Flight Information
If you are to arrive at your hotel after 5pm, please provide Hotelrentalgroup with your flight information, so that we may be able to advise the hotel of what time they can expect you. Should your flight be delayed, we strongly recommend that you contact the hotel directly to inform them of this.
Period of Stay / Rate Calculation
All stays are calculated and sold "per night". We can only guarantee a room until noon (12pm). Late check-outs can be requested at the moment of reservation in the additional comments box, but may come at an additional fee (usually 50% of the nightly rate).
Cancellation Policies & Charges
Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail, with as much notice as possible. Penalty fees may apply. Please check the terms & conditions, as these policies vary from hotel to hotel.
Cancellation Charges On All Reservations

No Shows
No Shows will result in a 100% penalty fee.
Reservation & Confirmation
All reservations made on the web sites operated by hotel-savings.com will receive a temporary confirmation number. This temporary number does not mean that the hotel room is available and is only for administrative purposes. Your final confirmation will be sent to you on your official confirmation voucher within 24 hours, unless, due to unforeseen circumstances, the hotel does not get back to us within this time frame. hotel-savings.com is not responsible for any such delays.
Early departures
In addition to the standard cancellation policy, we would like to stress the point that the hotels are very strict regarding changes to the length of clients’ stays. Therefore we would like to inform you that clients departing before their booked check out date will be charged for the remaining nights and, no being made for unused nights.
Check In & Check Out Policy
Your room will be made available to you from 14h00 (unless stated otherwise in the terms & conditions of the hotel). Should you require a guaranteed early check in, the room must be booked and paid for in full for the day preceeding your stay.
Check out time is 12:00 hrs. For a guaranteed late check-out, clients should book for an additional night, charged at 100%.

hotel-savings.com sources hotels from various hotel companies in the countries in which it operates. The condition of the stay will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you. You will be subject to its terms and conditions and local law.
hotel-savings.com reserves the right to pass on to the client any government increase in local VAT or other taxes that may be introduced after a reservation is made. Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local VAT at the prevailing rate in that country.
The liability of hotel-savings.com to the client for any loss, problem, damage or cancellation, whether arising out of negligence, breach of contract, error or any other cause shall not exceed the invoiced total value of the confirmation voucher supplied by hotel-savings.com.
